The Kaufman Has Landed

Born WeirdHopefully, by the time you read this, Canadian author Andrew Kaufman will have landed in the UK and commenced his week-long promotional tour. There was a bit of an 'incident' yesterday when he managed to miss his plane but all being well he is now in a cab on his way to London.

Andrew is the author of the huge word-of-mouth bestseller All My Friends are Superheroes (which I didn't publish) as well as the soon-to-be-word-of-mouth bestsellers The Tiny Wife and Born Weird (both of which I did publish). This is his first trip over in nearly three years and we will be forcing him to traipse around country signing books and answering lots of questions. I know he has lots of fans in this country so here is a heads up on where he'll be and when you can feast your eyes upon his heavenly form.

Monday: I've got him in the HarperCollins office for most of the day. He'll be signing books that will be boxed up and sent off to bookshops, meeting lots of important publishing people, recording some video interviews and probably falling asleep after his convoluted journey. However, if you tune in to the Friday Project Facebook page and/or Twitter feed then we'll be giving away signed books throughout the day.

Tuesday: In the evening we are having drinks and nibbles with bloggers and booksellers at the HarperCollins head office in London. If you are a blogger or a bookseller and want to come along then give me a shout.

Wednesday. During the day Andrew will be dashing around London from bookshop to bookshop signing copies of his glorious tomes. Later on he'll be starring an An Evening With Andrew Kaufman at Waterstones Piccadilly. If you want tickets you need to call 020 7851 2400 .

Thursday. He'll be at the Firestation Book Swap with the lovely Tanya Byrne.

Friday. A bunch of radio interviews in the morning and then off to Leeds for another Evening With event at Waterstones. Tickets can be ordered by calling 0113 2444588. Please note: Leeds event now cancelled.

Saturday. We might allow him a day off.

Do please spread the word. It would be great to see as many of you as possible at these events.
